Camp Catalyst Liability Waiver and Release of Claims

Please read carefully before agreeing to these temrs. This is a legally binding document.
I, the undersigned participant (or parent/guardian if under 18), acknowledge that I have voluntarily chosen to participate in Camp Catalyst (“the Event”), hosted by Compost Academy. I understand that this Event involves outdoor activities including, but not limited to:

Camping in a natural, wooded environment

Swimming and/or soaking in a pool and hot tub

Use of hand tools and/or power tools

Hiking or walking on uneven terrain

Participating in workshops and hands-on activities
I recognize that these activities carry inherent risks, which may include, but are not limited to: physical injury, illness, property damage, slips/trips/falls, drowning, allergic reactions, exposure to wildlife, weather hazards, and accidents arising from use of tools or equipment.
Assumption of RiskI voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation in the Event. I understand and agree that I am solely responsible for my own safety and for exercising caution and common sense. I acknowledge that swimming, soaking, hiking, camping, and use of tools are done at my own risk.
Release of LiabilityIn consideration for being allowed to participate, I hereby release and hold harmless Compost Academy, its owners, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, and property owners from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising from any injury, illness, damage, or loss that I may sustain during or as a result of my participation in the Event, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Medical TreatmentIn the event of an injury or medical emergency, I authorize Compost Academy or its representatives to seek medical treatment on my behalf. I understand I am responsible for any related costs.
Personal Responsibility

I agree to follow all safety instructions provided by Event staff.

I will not enter restricted areas.

I will not swim or soak alone or while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

I will use tools only as instructed and with proper safety precautions.

I will respect the property, natural environment, and other participants.
Minors If agreeing on behalf of a minor, I affirm that I am their parent or legal guardian and accept full responsibility for their safety and behavior.
Acknowledgment & Agreement
I have read, fully understand, and voluntarily agree to the terms of this Liability Waiver and Release of Claims. I understand that by agreeing, I am giving up certain legal rights.
