A Community Learning Experience

At its heart, Camp Catalyst is about community. Last year felt like a reunion—even though many of us had never met before. Be ready to connect, collaborate, and share. If you’d like to bring an activity, story, skill, or something from your garden, we’ll have a space for community contributions. Bring your notebooks—there will be lots to learn and share.

Schedule Overview

  • Friday, September 26 : Arrive between 3–5 PM, set up, swim, relax. Opening circle starts around 5:30 PM on the grass in the shade, followed by dinner. Bring instruments if you’d like to play afterwards.

  • Saturday, September 27: Morning compost talk and compost building with Keisha and Casey Ernst before lunch. After lunch: swim and chill. Late afternoon: “Notice the Ecosystem” talk with Brian Vagg, followed by a property walk to observe the land. Dinner and possibly Microbes After Dark.

  • Sunday, September 28: Morning session with Raleigh Latham on water retention and “building for the 100-year flood.” After lunch: afternoon talk and walk with Pashu Esquibel on cultural burning and fire on the land. Dinner and fireside chat with our friends from the Biochar Coalition.
